PBS, NPR, NBC, CBS and BBC. I really miss Al Jazeera America since they went off the air For print news, NY Times and Washington Post. Never ever Fox!

None................the press has an agenda regardless of what one might believe.

I don't trust any of them at this point.
They all have an agenda, and I'm tired of it.
I now get most of my news from reading online. I will watch a "breaking news" story on television.
I used to be a cable news junkie, now I trust very little of it. I have decided not to let them bug me anymore!

@Noel7 wrote:I use multiple sources. ABC is my go to network for daily/nightly news, love Nightline, sometimes also CBS. If there is breaking news I watch CNN.
I have Google news set as my homepage. I like it a lot because it features dozens and dozens of sources, including science articles, sports, etc.
Do you remember (maybe you are too young to) when Nightline was created?
If I remember correctly, it was when there were hostages in Iran when Jimmy Carter was President. I can recall many people being riveted by the coverage every night. I watched it a lot. I think they counted the number of days the hostages were held on it. The days of Ted Koppel!

Fox is blatantly one sided.. LOL! They aren't shy. That said, I think all the cable news channels have an agenda. It is just Fox doesn't hide the fact! But to each their own. I think CBS, ABC, and NBC probably are more middle of the road, reporting the news as it should be...unadorned and with just the facts. They may forget some of the facts, Hahahah...but at least they don't give personal opinions on the news and commentate on them all the time like cable news
PBS and NPR are reliable sources, but they don't have all the showmanship and circus acts many news channels have
JMHO and nothing else

It's too bad journalism has come to this. I like the Drudge Report because he's very thorough and will go after anyone who needs to be exposed. Matt Drudge has no sacred cows.
Drudge isn't a news source. He doesn't have reporters or a news organization.
They compile information from many other sites and put their own "spin"in the headlines.
Drudge is a news aggregator, @terrier3, and one of the most influential players on the web. I guarantee I know a great deal more about these things than you do. Drudge can take an obscure story and make millions of people aware of it. He's a genius in terms of his headlines and the composition of his site. He combs through sources worldwide and brings us all kinds of foreign reporting and reporting on tech issues that we would never see.
A news aggregator means that he doesn't actually "report" anything - or have any reporters. He has no way of verifying anything he publishes on his site. He compiles info from other sources and puts on interesting headlines that appeal to people like you...they get lots of clicks
I sell television news...and web based advertising too...I do think I know a "little" about what I am discussing.
In the interest of remaining civil, and in light of the serious events of the day, I'm not going to discuss with you further.
I don't want a disagreement or an argument...it's not respectful, IMO.
@terrier3 No way of verifying anything? He draws from the major publications and broadcasters from around the world! The past track record and reputation of an outlet lets him know how reliable the info would be. And, believe me, after 20 years he knows plenty about this. I'm sure that all the major news outlets tip Drudge off when they have something big in the works. They want him to feature it on his site because it will drive traffic to their sites. He just ran a notice a few days ago about the many major news sites he is leaving in the dust. He doesn't run stories about alien abductions and people seeing Elvis in their toast, after all!
Alright, so what he does is like qualitative analysis. Most grad students have to do this before beginning their thesis.
Drudge is the one who broke the Monica Lewinsky bombshell!
Shep Smith gets alerts from Fox's numerous affiliates. He doesn't originate, he just reports it.
