Who is responsible for this Over 50 movement?

Just tuned in to QVC see what all the hype is over this over 50 promo.

Shawn and Mallory are on.  Shawn explained that this is not about selling products, it's to form a community.  A new movement.  Ok?????

So Shawn then goes into sharing 3 things that happened in the airport.  The 3rd thing was her sharing that she currently has a large hemorroid.

WTH?????

So, let me get this straight QVC.  You only get hemorroids over 50 years of age?

Who in their right mind wants to be part of this community?

I think I have officially lost my mind.

Bye QVC.   Good luck with your new movement.

I have enjoyed all the remote shows and the event.

i would not watch if i didn't like the concept or the hosts/vendors involved.  that would just be unjoyful.  why would i do that to myself?

~~today may be my last.....i choose JOY!~~

Re: Who is responsible for this Over 50 movement?

@JKLSCH  I heard the third thing also and my eyes almost fell out of my head .LOL Like really????? That's just TMI. *click* I had to turn it off. And you are right, roids can happen way sooner than 50.

This is so classless. I thought I'd give the show a chance. I was willing to do that, but it all seems so immature and does NOT imo paint any women over 50 in a good light.

Maybe what she was saying is that when you are younger you do not share your problems, and suffer privately, and now that she is a bit older she feels she has a more supportive community, and can be more comfortable sharing. At least that is the way I interpreted her comments.

That seems to be one of the MAIN functions of this QVC forum these days--women seem to constantly be looking for support and feedback with their life issues, instead of discussing shopping for different items (original intent).

Oh well, whether you like it or not, we will all be 50 and over some day.

I have enjoyed the parts of the shows that I have been able to watch through the day.

Re: Who is responsible for this Over 50 movement?

I am approaching 70-and watch qvc sporadically and post very infrequently. Their new over 50 movement is amusing to me since I somehow managed to make it through that decade without having to dress like a stripper to feel fashionable; or share my physical challenges with the world in order to understand my own body; or seek role modeling from salespersons who advertise aging via airbrushed marketing materials and indulge themselves in a trip to Vegas! Aging can be a wonderful journey- thank God I am not living QVC’s version!

Leave it to Kathy Levine to bring some class to this over 50 debacle.
She is the only reason to turn in to this snorefess
