Don't know if anyone remembers Candice Olson or Olsen.   She did lovely work....

and never seemed to repeat.  Everything these days is white and gray and gray and white and all looks the same....Stopped watching HGTV about a year ago.  Everything shown you can find on-line at wayfair.  

I would check around for licensed contractor.   Go to the library and look at traditional

(styles that are not trendy which becomes out of style quickly, thus money wasted)

books.  If you see something that really draws your attention figure out why that

appeals to you and take a picture of it.   And work within your budget and once the

work has started stay on top of it.

Holmes. We need some new lighting and wiring since our house is older, and he is the best at that type of thing. Chip and Joanna’s style has been overdone now...I don’t want  my house to look like a farmhouse...I have a traditional home and want it to look traditional. We have been looking for a new home...am saddened to see a home I like, then see a huge barn door instead of a normal door on a bedroom, looking totally out of place. Barn doors belong in barns, IMO. I am also not a fan of skinny, metal legs on dining chairs...they dig holes into wooden floors.
