Re: Who Is looking forward to Standard Time?

I hate the fall time change with every fiber of my being.

Not being a fan of winter, at all, the getting dark in seemingly mid-afternoon (ok, so I exaggerate... a little)  is just too much.

The initial time change itself does me no good. I don't sleep well so the extra hour that first night is lost on me.  Just one more hour for me to be awake in the middle of the night.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@monicakm  NOOOO....I hate when DST ends.  Here in AZ our clocks never change (which is one reason I moved here 34 years ago) BUT, my family lives in CA so I always have to deal with time differences that I don't have to deal with during DST when our times are the same.

Me Me!!!

I can't wait for fall and Standard time. I love when the darkness comes earlier. So cozy!

Re: Who Is looking forward to Standard Time?

the time change here in Florida is so weird to me. Back in Michigan it made more sense-the weather corresponded with the end of daylight saving time. Here, it continues to be hot and sunny like summer all year round. But it gets dark at 5:30 pm. My brain has trouble grasping that.

Re: Who Is looking forward to Standard Time?

I agree with most of the other posters! I do not like cold, dreary days. I do not like turning on the lights at 3 p.m. I do not like getting up in the dark when it's cold in the bathroom.

I love summer and the whole lifestyle associated with it. I love being able to be outside at 9 and still see daylight. I do like the change of seasons to see the different colors, but I will take an extended summer any time!   Smiley Happy

Absolutely hate it. I jog every evening after work but when the time changes, it gets dark before I even leave the office.

@santorini   YES!  When I do run outside, I also go right after work.  I just change in my office and run around the campus.  However, when it gets dark I typically don't.  I hate it too, but that's when I will hit the Peloton tred.  Change of pace!  But cool weather stinks.

Re: Who Is looking forward to Standard Time?

I'd love it if we stayed on DST all year around.  I hate when it gets dark at 5pm.  It's depressing and makes the nights seem so long.

Since I no longer drive after dark, it means I can't even get fast food in the evenings.  I'm a prisoner in my own home.

Not me.  In New York, in late November and early December, it gets dark at 4Smiley SurprisedO PM.  I can't go anywhere as I do not drive in the dark anymore.  It is very depressing for me and really wish we had daylight savings time all year round.

Yes! I’m a creature of the night.
