Re: Who Can Still Remember..........

I have two princess phones. One rotary dial and one touch tone. The touch tone is in use in the guest bedroom.
It still works, although it doesn't light up any longer.

Bascal Vintage Aluminum Glasses Cups Colorful Metal Drink Ware Set ...

Loved these glasses...especially when you put ice in and water ran down the outside. Smiley Happy  It was fun to play with at the table.

Retired Legal Secretary - I too have photos of both my sister and I with our Toni Home Perms.  It wasn't our Mom who was the "stylist" but an Aunt who would visit us from Connecticut and conveniently had 2 perms in her suitcase.  Always dreaded the look, and the short straight bangs that she would cut first and perm the rest.  We looked horrible.

@cookie16  I was right there with the same style.  I HATED those perms as the smell made me sick.

I had frizz, straight bangs and bow on the side.  I can barely stand to look at those pictures.

I don't think we had a phone until I went to live with my sister when I was 12 I believe.

We didn't have a TV until I was probably around 10 or 9 years old.

It was called G.C. Murphy and was on King Street in Alexandria, Virginia.  There was another entrance on Washington Street in Alexandria.

They had a counter you could sit at and eat.  The bathrooms were marked.

I was 10 years old when my family got a 19" black-and-white portable tv from Sears.  We thought it to be the epitome of entertainment.

Phone number was AH1-2888J.  We had a party line. If you picked up and someone was talking hang up and hope they hurry up. Not that I had anyone to call at seven years old.

PR for Prospect.  I remember we had a "party line" meaning we shared a line with the people down the street. My little brother and I were always picking up the phone listening to their conversations.  My Mom would get so mad at us when she caught us. This was Chicago.
