I almost hesitate to say this, but I must be among the very few who just don't get into the White House Christmas decorations. (Doesn't matter who lives there!)

Re: White House Christmas Decorations

@Oznell Mrs, Reagan had this commissioned to use as their 1982 Christmas Card.  It's a rendering of the Red Room done by James Steinmeyer  who is David Easton's partner.  I was not on the Reagan's Christmas Card List.  I had to purchase mine in the gift shop!  It now hangs in my red bathroom!4296.jpg

The decorations are beautiful.  I've always enjoyed seeing what every FLOTUS does at this time of year.

What a nice time to enjoy the talents of all who made this happen.

My brother worked for 30 years for the company who makes the official wh ornaments. They are all made here in the USA with parts that are hand assembled. Each year a different president is celebrated. The packaging on these is also very nice, witht a booklet inside describing the president and the meaning of the ornament. I get one each year!

Not a criticism, the decorations are beautiful. I just think they are a little sparse. I know the saying “less is more”, but in this case, I would like to see more.

While the White House is at it's most beautiful this time of year I don't care for the decorations this year. They are fine just not outstanding. But I am looking forward to the HGTV show maybe i'll like them better after watching the show.

It looks mostly cold and icy to me.

Pretty but I think Christmas should convey more warmth.

Christmas there affords so many opportunities for striking photos.  I really like this impromptu one of a military aide in the Grand Foyer, against a backdrop of holiday decorations.
