Well geez, ALL these hosts surely want to be YOUR friend. That's in the job description. My career was about the fake persona while on the job. I was very likable, had a great reputation, people liked and respected me, but I didn't much like the ones I worked with. None of my true friends were on the job. After all, my work "friends" were all fakes! Like ME! LOL! So, when you answer this question you have nothing to go by except what you see on your tv. A sales person, who very much wants you to like them! Smile!

That is their job to be likeable and sell. However, going by their Tv personality I think I would like Carolyn Gracie.
@chiclet I can relate to your comment. I too was in a position that required me to be an excellent actor and I performed well, very well. When I got home I retreated to my introverted self, grabbed a book and on most days didn't resurface until it was time to punch the time clock again.
I can definitely relate to both comments. I'm a shy person by nature but when I was on the job I had to hide that side of my personality. I always found it funny when clients would say to me "you are really a people person". I'm as far from that as you can find.
In my private life I keep to myself and I am not one to start conversations with people I don't know. I've never been one to join clubs or try to stand out in groups.
I'm just happy being at home with my husband and pets. Fortunately I married a man who has the same personality traits as I do. We're both quiet and enjoy being homebodies.

The first host that comes to my mind is Carolyn Gracie. We both have a love of animals.

I hear you @RetRN . As far as my modest home, Chevy SUV and simple taste, I wouldn't fit in. Still, it was nice some other posters reminded us that hosts are really no different than the rest of us. In fact, they may have troubles we are unaware of. Although no longer on, Dan Wheeler and Lisa Mason are people I would have been comfortable chatting with. Mary Beth and Leah are two of the current hosts that I like. All the hosts come across as being very kind.

@NickNack I completely agree. No matter how well known you are, or financially well off you may be, a love of animals will create, at least a starting point, for a conversation.
Not "running in the same social circle" so to speak, I don't see myself actually being "friends" with any of the hosts.
No matter how likeable the hosts appear to be on TV, they are paid well to present themselves as such.

As I exchanged emails with only one host, I would have to say Pat James DeMentri. She's the only host I ever "met". Long ago I sent her an email about 18K elegance show she did. And we wrote back & forth a couple of times. I really like and she's a very interesting person. I have no idea what the rest of the hosts would be like off TV. I still don't know the names of any of the new ones.
o/t By the way, does anyone know the name of the host on with Isaac the last time? She's kind of small and has reddish brown hair. Thanks

@songbird I can't believe I did this, but you might remember the Jeff/Judy marriage and quick divorce many years ago. I mailed Judy a note saying I admired how she conducted herself (Jeff was getting a few subtle digs in while on air). She sent me a hand written note thanking me.

The real "down to earth" types (Antoinella, Lisa, Amy, Kathy Levine and others) are missing. The leftovers i(ncluding Leah, Carolyn, Jane, all the rest) are not real. They are playing the role of tv host/salesperson. Who knows what they are like in real time? I really do not want to know.

Pat DeMentri, Jayne Brown, Leah Williams, David Veneble, Mary DeAngelis, Rick Domeir, Dan Hughes, Mary Beth Roe, Nancy Hornback. I think that's about it.
