Which folder would I post a request re the ability to disablle animated gifs? More and more are popping up and it's very hard to avoid. The animation can trigger a bad case of vertigo. It would be nice for posters to have the option to disable under preferences.

Do I ask under Q talk, suggestion box or customer care? Somewhere else?

@kate2357  Very good ? as I'm curious also.  There's a poster who uses animation & I really like her comments on kitchen & other things but the animation bothers me.

@colleena    Others have complained about them previously.  If it seriously bothers people, it should be discontinued.  I just find them mildly annoying.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will try emailing again. Sent an email several months ago and heard nothing back. Now there are even more animated avatars and animation w/in a post. Makes it difficult to avoid.

The person knows also and thinks its rude that people want it changed, I would disable it in a second if I thought I was making people sick, hard to understand.

@kate2357 if you Google "disable animated gifs" or "disable animations on websites" many sites come up and walk you through the steps on how to do it.

It all depends on what type of browser you're using (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Android device, etc.)

Seems to mostly involve unchecking a box in the browser settings that allow animations.

Worth a try.

If it's password protected, I bet only the administrators or the owner of the password can change it.
