Re: Which Actor CRUSHED a Role So HARD, No One Would Ever Live Up to It?

[ Edited ]

Jimmy Stewart - It's a Wonderful Life

Gregory Peck - To Kill a Mockinbird

Tom Hanks - Forrest Gump

Anthony Perkins - Psycho

Joan Fontaine & Judith Anderson - Rebecca

Gary Grant, Grace Kelly, John Williams, & Jessie Royce Landis - To Catch a Thief

Humphrey Bogart & Ingrid Bergman - Casablanca

Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle - Pride & Prejudice

And....

The entire cast of Star Trek the original TV series! Sorry, but I don't think any of the actors in the recent movie remakes of that franchise do those roles justice. Chris Pine and the rest of those actors are ok, but they are not those characters. And, I hate the way they "reinvented characters and storylines" (aka changed everything in the canon). Rant over. The Next Generation was fine because they were new characters.

Fun thread!

@DrakesMomma,

I was thinking of that one too. He did become him. I'll never forget that movie.
