I'm in total agreement with so many here, but no one mentioned the beautiful Natalie Wood as a child in "Miracle on 34th Street". I thought she was stellar in that role and so many others as an adult

Lots of great movies listed, but what I find most captivating are actors who can convey an emotion with no words--only their facial expressions.

One of my absolute favorites is Diane Lane in Unfaithful who delivered a magnificent performance in sexual discovery,  abandonment, guilt, and desire when her adulterous character is returning home by train after her first tryst with Olivier Martinez's sexy bookdealer…

@magicmoodz ...Diane Lane is one of my very favorite actresses also....Another excellent role was in Nights of Rodanthe with Richard Gere...Her emotion of grief was so real and raw towards the end that I felt I was experiencing the same.

@Big Joanie ...He sure did!...His role was extremely complex and he literally put his life on hold and studied for his role for approx. two years...I'm still not over the fact that he didn't get the Oscar!  lol
