Sadly, even after all the evidence and decisions come out, some people still won't believe it. It's like they get brainwashed by the media to believe things and even when the evidence proves the media wrong, they just can't let go of that narrative. Robots, in a way.

Do you hear yourself?

Um, let's see..... yep! And I agree with myself.

I think there is far too much excessive force being used by police.

I just don't believe they need to kill people in many of these types of cases.

I have to question whether he could've stepped back and, instead of using deadly force, tried to shoot out tires on the car, or follow her and call for reinforcements for a road block.

In my area, police had been doing a lot of high speed chases and innocent people were getting hurt or killed from it.

There was a lot of public outcry about that type of "excessive" reaction, so they changed their procedures and do not do high speed chases like they used to. It made the situations more dangerous to the general public to chase than to find other ways.

We're on opposite sides of the fence on this. I believe we've tied the hands of police officers too much.

No one in my family has ever had any problem with the police. But of course we do try to obey the law.

Adding: No I don't believe all police officers are good. There is bad in everything. But you've tied the hands of the many due to errors of the few bad.

I don't think so.

Believing that any white (or somewhat white) person shooting a black person is always the fault of the white person is bigotry, friend.

It cuts both ways, lady.

Lines have been drawn and the problem is people don’t care about the facts when it comes to select topics, issues, subjects, incidents.., pick your poison.
2 of my business partners are African American and extremely well educated from top Universities in the country. Both are dems and they have very different opinions on Ferguson. Our younger partner jumped the gun like I see so many here do and found the officer guilty before all the facts were in. She was on FB and Twitter voicing her opinion. Her actions were based on pure emotion not facts or the legal system. But never did the younger partner think any of the partners including myself were bigots because we didn’t agree with her.
Let the legal system do its job.., unless you “DO NOT” think our legal system is capable of it. Stop finding people guilty before all the facts are in.

Based on what you have just said here, YOU need to take your own advice.

I'm not the one on here condemning anyone.

Just curious why you singled me out when I said "It cuts both ways." And whether you realize it or not, you did let slip what YOUR opinion is; hence, take your own advice.

I'm sorry if you felt I singled you out. I didn't know you were so fragile. It won't happen again. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

My opinion on this case with the girl and the police officer... please tell me what you think my opinion is? I've love to know.

Not fragile, but of all that's been said, I wondered why "It cuts both ways" set you off. If you read my original comment #31, I don't see where I condemned anyone. It wasn't your opinion on the case with the girl; it was the other incident where you're just sure this person jumped the gun and blamed the officer in Ferguson. Have you NOT decided the "facts" before they have all been revealed.

I don't think so.

You're bypassing glaringly obvious parts of the story.

So running over the foot of an officer is a crime punishable by the death penalty? With no trial?

And not stopping when an officer says to stop is a crime punishable by death? With no trial?

Again, still leaving out glaringly obvious parts of the story. She didn't run over his foot and then he shot her. C'mon terrier.

Law enforcement in this country is a huge joke. Who is training these people? "In a statement to his supervisors, Brockman said he tried to stop Ramsey from driving away from the party so that he could see if she was intoxicated."

So this cop had no other way of detaining her before she got into her car, thus forcing him to have "jumped onto the roof of a 19-year-old girl's car and opened fire on her." What??? If he was that afraid, he could have called for backup. BTW, scaredy-cat cops are not your friend and they cannot help you. Sounds as if he put himself in the perfect position to get hit by a car . . . and then he got hit by a car, which then resulted in him then "having to" murder that girl. Because he must not have had access to those things that flatten tires when someone is trying to make a get away, and one can only surmise that his call for backup feature was out of service. So, he had to kill her.

Yeah, law enforcement in this country is literally a huge, unfunny joke.

So....while she is speeding & fleeing law enforcement & while he gets 'those things that flatten tires', she kills me & my family of 3. Merry Christmas. Her weapon was the car...when law enforcement says to stop....stop. VERY high Duh factor. #BackTheBlue

So . . . that's why training is key here. Real officers know how to handle their business. And since they are law enforcement, they should be trained to not let deadly force be their only line of defense. It's lazy and actually puts everybody at risk. Like I said, officer scaredy-cat should have called for backup instead of jumping on her deadly weapon. Who in their right mind jumps onto a deadly weapon?? The Duh factor applies to someone, but not to me.

If you read page 56 of his deposition, he explains he didn't know how close his cruiser was behind him, thus jumping upon her car for fear of being pinned between his parked cruiser & her moving vehicle.....she then accelerated. She had alllll that opportunity to stop....but she didn't. Again....high Duh Factor.

"...not let deadly force be their only line of defense"....please. Save that for the movies or your XBox games.

ITA. Was hoping there could be an intelligent conversation with this, but...alas, no. Her weapon of choice, his weapon of choice. The Law Won,
