I think it's terrific that Qurate offers highly flexible work schedules for those exploring interests and work-life balance. Very important benefits. Almost every major corporation accommodates employees in this way to a degree, if the job function allows.
Flexible work schedule is a valuable benefit often included in the job description for a Qurate position.

I don't think they're allowing that because they're concerned about their hosts' interests and their work-life balance.
Who knows? Maybe she suspects she won't have her job for long (or she's just tired of it) so she's getting into something else.

@Daisy Sunflower Work/Life Balance is a huge initiative in most large major corporations. It's not just a nice thing to do, it's actually a written mission statement with very candid statements that management commit to offering their employees.
What the employee does with their time away from QVC is their own business, as long as there's no conflict under their contract with QVC.

I agree with you. She probably suspects her contract won't be renewed so she is looking into other options.

She seems to have taken "part time" to a whole new level based on the schedule someone above posted.

If they don't want to work, let them go and hire new people that need and want the hours. Just my opinion.

@christikate You know, QVC , her employer has different opinion , I think it's based on their polices for employees .

Whatever the Q permits, I would think they would give their prime spots to full time workers for their opportunities. Also, in preparation for their leaving.

I think she is enjoying living the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Seems she got what she was looking for.
