Jane and her show were quickly terminated without so much as a goodbye.

Here's an article from Wednesday's NY Daily News. Apparently CNN got rid of its LA-based entertainment unit and cut three specialty shows including Jane's and Sanjay's. Read on...

They should just call it: C-you later News Network.
At least 170 CNN staffers will lose their jobs by the end of this week as part of the company's effort to slash 8-percent of its workforce.
Among the most notable name to be shown the door so far is HLN host Jane Velez-Mitchell who got the boot Tuesday along with her 12-person production staff.
Her program, which aired for six years at 7 p.m. on the CNN sister network, ended Monday.
The show will be replaced temporarily by reruns of "Forensic Files."
CNN has also shelved its Los Angeles-based unit that covered entertainment and will be ending three specialty shows because of the layoffs, according to The Associated Press.
The network’s low-rated talk show “Crossfire” was also yanked, for the second time.
Rachel Nichols' Friday night sports show, "Unguarded," has been yanked, but Nichols will remain as CNN's sole sports anchor and also work for Turner Sports.
Another casualty includes Sanjay Gupta's half-hour medical show that airs twice on the weekend has been axed.
Gupta - who has been dominating CNN’s coverage of the Ebola outbreak - will stay with the network.
In a similar manner, "CNN Money" with Christine Romans that airs on Saturday afternoon will be canceled, but Romans is staying with the network.
CNN officials have said for weeks they planned to downsize their global staff by about 300 bodies through layoffs and buyouts.
About 130 employees took the buyouts last month.

I'm glad to see JVM go and hope NG is among the others who have to be sacrificed.
Both are part of the contemporary movement to conduct trials without access to facts, sworn witnesses, etc. Their shows (as well as others like them) do not seek justice and truth - they want advertisers, viewers, and big salaries. Might as well watch admittedly fictionalized crime-police shows.
I've never heard anyone say she hopes if she or someone she cares about is accused of a crime that she wants them tried by a Nancy or a Jane.

I remember her when she was on our local news here in Los Angeles. She always looked provoked no matter what she reported. She left and she wasn't missed at all. Then I saw her on CNN and thought, that's probably where she is happiest.
I agree with Millieshops about her and many others being the judge/jury/prosecution just to get viewers interested and their self interests promoted.
