I have been watching QVC, since Kathy Levin was standing at a little table in a tiny room, one camera, no 800 number, and you paid by calling, getting an order number, writing it on your check and mailing it in...then waiting for your order to come, the whole process took about 2 weeks. The value and quality was the best. The conveinence was unsurpassed. I was a die hard QVC fan! That being said, it saddens me to admit I barely watch anymore. I turn it on sometimes, for a few minues at midnight, just to check the TSV, but a lot of times I will google the TSV and find similar (same product but no cheap add-ons) at another site for less. I do not understand QVC's lack of staying current.... in the past several years the information available on whats in our in food, make-up, toys, etc....is everywhere, and yet QVC just seems to stick with the same old products. Why don't they offer more oganic, gluten free foods? Or all natural, chemical free make-up, skincare etc.....? And vitamins? Natures Code anyone? I will not even go there! I use to purchase at least one or two items a month, without fail, year in, year out....Not anymore! I use to laugh at HSN, I didn't think anyone could hold a candle to QVC. But really it is to the point now where the only thing that makes QVC even a little appealing is easy pay on big ticket items. But even that is so sporatic. In the meantime HSN has Flex-Pay on almost every item they offer! Qvc's shipping charges are high, and why pay shipping when so many sites offer it for free? The sizing on clothing is all over the charts, Literally! The food prices are astronomical. When they clearance sale items, the reduced price is often times laughable! I mean $3.00 off, really? With the exception of a few brands of clothing, like Louis Dell-Ollio, Simonton, and Mackie, if you look at all the brands they offer most of the clothing quality is a step above Wal-mart, but barely equals mid-level dept.stores like JC-Penny, Kohls, Belks, etc....Think Sag Harbor or Alfred Dunner....Since the advent of the internet, and mobile devices, convenience is not applicable anymore, Everyone with a website is conveinent! I think QVC would do a big service to themselves and all of us, if they Upped the Quality in the "Q", started charging less, so they could actually call their products a value, "V", and put the CUSTOMER FIRST, "C".
Quality & Value----For the Consumer!.................Beth Ann L. 12-2-2012
