My sister is the lucky one who got the natural wavy hair and mine was straight as a stick. When I was real young my mother would wrap strips of rags around my head which gave me long curls. When I reached an age too old for that look she placed pin curls with bobbi pins all over my head and eventually I learned how to set my own hair. I remember my darling father saying to me one day he wouldn't recognize me without all that hardware on my head. I spent a lot of my time through the years setting my hair but thank goodness pony tails were popular so that helped save some time.
