In South Jersey we'll get flurries from Halloween on, but the big snows tend to be more in February.

Unless you live in northern Arizona it's a no for us unfortunately.

I live in NE Arizona and we get our first snow in Oct/Nov.  The amount of snow for the season  can be very little to snows that pile up 30+" each.

In Albuquerque, we get most of our big snows in December.

It's anyone's guess here in Denver.  We were snowed in for 3 days one year starting October 24.  Another year it was spring break and we were all stuck in our houses 2 -3 days.  My now 26 year old was in middle school so it was a while ago.  Worries me as we may be due ha.

In New Jersey right on the coastline aligned to NYC, we usually get some light flurries or light snow in November with the heavier snowfalls from December through February and, even early March.

Re: When you can expect the first SNOW of the season

The map looks about right. We usually get our first snow in October. Luckily, it's not cold enough to last long. The leaves on our trees don't finish falling until Thanksgiving and it'd be nice to mulch before snow is here to stay.

We have been receiving more and more large snowfalls at a time each year....12-24". We used to have just one of these each winter but not anymore.

Re: When you can expect the first SNOW of the season

I am in the no snow zone. I really don't miss snow and cold at all. When we lived in MN I reached my tipping point when it hit -53 degrees one winter, with almost 6 feet of snow. We moved. I'm over it.
