I use shower gel 99.9% of the time. I bought some Ivory bar soap to stick in a shoebox for our church's annual Operation Christmas Child drive last year. I had to buy 8 bars of soap so I've been using the other bars periodically.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.

OP should just use shower gel and leave the gross soap to the others

I hate bar soap and the scum it leaves behind so I use only shower gel myself.

If I were in your shoes, I would definitely say something to him yourself and not go through your husband. It might have more impact coming from you and you might be able to get through to him.
