Re: When you bathe, do you use a bar of soap or body wash?

White paper napkins, cut into quarters (1/4 squares). Also, I cut (saw) rolls in half (of paper towels)(the kind that is already perforated into smaller sheets). Keep them in the cabinet. Also, one could use a clean wash cloth to pat dry the soap, if necessary. I just don't like soggy soap sitting there in the soap dish. Even if the soap dish has a drain feature, the bottom gets soggy soapy. If it's fairly dried off, the bar soap stays nice until I use it again. But, 'that's just me'..........lol........

This ended up being a very enjoyable thread. BTW, has the O/P recently commented/posted? We were so 'carried away', I forgot to look............{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I think you should check into liquid soap. It sounds like a lot of work to keep soap dry...

Re: When you bathe, do you use a bar of soap or body wash?

Liquid soap would be better. I like Ivory, Yardley Lavender, Kirk's, and several other bar soaps that were given to me that don't irritate, aren't too strongly scented. .....................Anyway, I was just answering the OP's original post. She was/is having issues with the folks living with her, leaving the bar soaps 'icky' with hair, etc. I'm thinking, why should she go around, having to remove the gunk when the 'perpetrators' (lol, BTW) are old enough to do it themselves? It's all a matter of being somewhat respectful when asked. And if I were her, I'd start dumping their bar soaps and tell them to buy their own, and if they aren't kept fairly un-gunked, I'd probably throw those out, too. But that's just me. As nice as I am (probably too nice), I'd have to use other measures............folks usually learn their lesson when we 'put our foot down', so to speak.........

p.s. That, or.......possibly throw out their bar soaps, and buy (one time only) liquid soaps for 'them'............telling them to buy their own liquid soaps from now on, and that you don't want to see another 'icky' bar soap ever again! . . . . I'd 'hide' my nice, clean bar soap, BTW.
