I try to organize drawers for me and hubby. I was trying to be helpful and noticed in HIS underware drawer if you can call it that faded undershirts and shorts that were meant to be white but are now off color and no longer white. Just curious if that matters and do you all just get rid of "non wonderful" items such as this. Seems in many stores grey and black have replaced white.

I don't organize or toss anything related to clothes for my hubby! If he wants to get rid of something he'll take care of it.

I once accidently washed dh's underwear with my bright orange blouse. His all came out of the washer pink. He couldn't get new underwear fast enough. Hint, hint.

If they are stilll good & just off color try washing in clorox.

I toss things as soon as I see significant wear and tear.

@bonnielu I think you can look at your underwear and know when it is time to toss in the garbage (this goes for hers and his).
P.S. If the underwear is only faded, I would use bleach in the wash to see if it makes a difference, if not, toss if very old.

Yes, when hubbie's underwear and tees get worn, get holes or tatle gray; I do indeed toss them.He does all of his own shopping so I let him know what I'm tossing something so that he knows he has to buy more. I do the same with his socks.

I can only speak for myself but underwear is relatively cheap and because it's worn up against the skin and worn daily, I'm pretty quick to ditch old/worn for new. Generally I'm pretty thrifty but I don't skimp on underwear or socks.
I don't discard everything at one time.
I'll toss a few, buy new. Then weeks later I may toss more, then buy new.
It's kind of on a rotation. I don't have all new undies at one time.
And I buy on sale.

His turned pink after I washed them with the wrong clothes. I just did not know how much bleach. A few months back I tried the bleach route... lots of it and it caused inflammation and rash. So I just have to be very careful.
