Our little dog Sassy was 5 months old on the 15th. She is such a sweet-heart. I know it's probably time to get her spayed, but I'm really concerned about doing this to her. She is scared of strangers, and the thought of putting her through this procedure is worrisome to me.
Is this going to "scar her for life". Do something negative to her personality to be caged up with all those other barking dogs at the back of the Vets office I can hear when we have gone for checkups? Is she going to be in a lot of pain, and do they give her pain medication?
We've had our other dogs spayed, but for some reason I'm really concerned about doing this to her right now.
Any advice or suggestions ---to alleviate my concerns. Are there any questions I should be asking the vet?
