I'm a recovering people pleaser and overthinker. So I absolutely get it and will never understand unkindness that I see. I retain my desire for civility, but balancing all of that emotion can be insane at times.
My closest friends and I created an "IDC" phrase. Meaning, I don't care. The first thing you have to do is tell your brain to shut up. A grad psych professor taught our class this. Recognize when you're overthinking - basicaly tormenting yourself - then dwell on positive thoughts and gratitudes. Change the game, turn the page, flip the script.
It takes practice, practice, practice. Do yourself a favor and save the righteous anger and hurt for rare, but important causes.
Neville Goddards states -- A CHANGE OF ATTITUDE IS A CHANGE OF DESTINY.
I like the scripture in Proverbs that states .... She is clothed in strength and dignity and laughs at the days to come. (I want to be her - but decided one day I can't be her if I'm continually perplexed by stupid things and people.)

I try and move on. It isn't easy but I have seen people who hold grudges and it makes them miserable.

I love this! Easy to remember and catch yourself from falling into an old pattern.

@jeanlake The "IDC" phrase made me chuckle...I developed my own version. I actually sing (sometimes in my head, sometimes out loud!) "Let it go, let it go, let it go" to the tune of "Let it snow". It actually does work!!!
