Due to breakdowns from track injuries. Yes. 23 in 3 months. It’s sad that more people don’t know about it!
Track authorities have been slow to implement new rules, even receiving criticism from within horse racing. Multiple issues including suspect track conditions from all the rains AND legally overmedicating the poor horses with steroids that masks injuries and pain.

I was horrified several months ago when photos were shown of all the beautiful dead race horses because they were given too much of a performance med.  

I’ll never watch horse racing again.

You'd be surprised, people know about this kind of stuff.  But they don't care.  They conveniently forget by the next race.

It's all the hoopla, pomp and circumstance, photo ops, etc.

My oh my, that is horrible,  one would think  owners would not race there,or  is this at other tracks,that horses die ,i am just shocked this goes on.
