It's today. TV coverage begins at 2:30PM until 7:15PM EST on NBC with backstories about the horses, owners, etc. The actual race runs later on this evening.

The post time is 6:50 p.m. ET and will be aired by NBC.

I will watch just long enough to hear My Old Kentucky Home. The race itself, though, makes me nervous.

Strive for respect instead of attention. It lasts longer.

@hckynut Hmmmmm, yes you will. I believe you meant to say, if any horses are injured you will STOP watching.

I remember about 2-3 yrs ago a horse broke its leg & they had to shoot the horse right there on the track! That was something to see!

Right now it's showers in Louieville, Kentucky.

I expect to see at least 1 horse injury (broken leg) &/or jocky injuries from falls on a muddy soaked track.

we have several bourbons on hand, i made a mint simple syrup two days ago, i have plenty of fresh mint on hand, and lots of ice......mint julep day!

we have family over and will be watching......the races are already running so we have been watching them already.

as of right now, i think i am going to bet on WIN WIN WIN and PLUS QUE PARFAIT.
