There is a manic shipping elf who wildly runs through Q warehouses arbitrarily slapping various charges on merchandise without rhyme or reason just "because he can".

Don't use the return labels !!! You'll save a lot on return shipping.

Only true for small,  lightweight items.   You'll do better using the label for heavy items like sheets.

I don't remember jewelry being $3.  I thought it was $5.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason, very random. Not the best way to treat customers.

You mean when the Q put their bait and switch shipping policy into effect? (We're cutting shipping costs (yippee) but no longer refunding outward bound shipping costs (boo) but it'll all come out to your advantage in the end).

Then when we have you all lulled into accepting no return of original shipping, we'll raise the original shipping cost and still not refund your outbound shipping.

Now, you're now on the hook for $5.00 + $6.95 for a total of $11.00 love it or not.

Last year.

And... you're on the hook for quite a bit more if you order, say, a handbag where the shipping never did go down. It now costs you about twelve bucks to get that handbag home and seven to send it back if it doesn't work. That's almost twenty bucks for the pleasure of looking at an item... I don't know about you, but I can do better...

And if you order two of the same item that are shipped in the same bag, they charge you twice for the shipping.

I don't order a lot but if I want two of something, I do separate orders.  If I'm paying twice for it anyway then they can do a little extra work.

You wouldn't order over a $2 difference?

but the total amount of tax is calculated on the item + SH  so that all adds up to the total cost of the item ordered.

So that's how I decide how much I really want it,  by the time I'm done it could be as much as $10 to the original price.

so yes, I may not pull the trigger over $2

And in some states that tax can be very pricey; especially states with no state income tax where they get you in the sales tax. I first realized this when I used "bill to ship to" and sent an item to two siblings living in different states. It was almost $5 difference in total price. And this was years ago.

They only bragged when they initiated $3 shipping - now they hope we won't notice.
