I had a couple of those bags a few years ago.  They were nice but don't think they were big sellers. Amy Katzenberg bags are the next to go I'm guessing. Hard to tell because handbag sales are way down this year.

oryany was the brand of the ex husband and daughter  of cherie christmas of maxx new york handbags. when they divorced i believe that part of that settlement was that the maxx new york brand had to be dissolved. after the divorce was all setttled, yacoub created the ORYANY brand. i dont think it sold very well (although i did like the brand and purchased a few) and is now defunct.

 

OR means leather/light in hebrew, YA stood for yacob (yacob assayeg), NY stood for new york.

 I think it's been gone 2 or 3 years. I have 2 oryany bags. They were very well made.

I find Oryany bags at my Burlington Coat Factory 🏭 n 6th Avenue n NYC. Great prices also.
