I have a nice igloo dog house outside for my outside cat. They loved it. It is deep and thick and they all crawled in there at night and during the day. I keep it on my porch. A few weeks ago I noticed that they weren't going in there. I looked in there and one of my cats had passed away in there. He was a feral cat so I was never able to touch it or even get close enough to see if it was sick. I do know that it had come to eat a few hours earlier. I took all the blankets out. Put new blankets in and wiped down the inside of the doghouse. It's been 3 weeks and they still won't go in there. After about a week 2 of the cats went in there but the other ones haven't followed. They have other things to sleep in to keep them warm and dry that they sleep in now but this was the best and sturdiest. I don't know if they can still smell the body, or if it's now a scarey place for them, or what. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get them to go back in there?
