Today I had a real Yellow Pages phone book delivered to me.
I haven't used a real phone book in years. If I need to look up the phone number or address of a business, I do it on my phone.
I think it's a waste of resources to print these phone books. I think if someone wants a phone book, they should be able to order one, that way, phone books won't be just tossed away, unused.
So, I was just curious, when was the last time that you used a real Yellow Pages phone book?

Many, many years ago.
When the phone books are delivered, I look through them then promptly put them into the recycle bin.
You're right. They are mostly a waste of paper and money. Those large ads companies put in those books probably aren't bring them any business. I think most people recycle them immediately.

I can't even make an educated guess it's been so long.

Many years ago for me also. i did look forward to them each year. Sort of a ritual. But you are right, likely not needed much anymore for most of us.

We opted out of having phone books delivered decades ago. Sometimes (maybe once every 3-5 years or so) we will actually get one delivered. I promptly take it to the recycle bin.

My phone service is thru cable, and they don't provide phone books.

Almost every year I get a "yellow pages" directory delivered and dropped at my front door. I hate it because 1) I don't use it, and 2) it's an "off-brand" of some sort with only a small fraction of businesses in the area who pay to run an ad.
It immediately goes into the recycle bin, although I'm not sure it's even recyclable material! It's a gimmick if you ask me!

I use mine all the time. If I need to find a service, I just look it up. Easy as pie! My phone is my original Nokia that I bought about 10 years ago. It is just a phone, so I need the phone book.
