I joined in the mid 90's. It has changed because they have moderators now that delete what they don't like.

I joined in the 90s. I remember the board moving along alot more quickly with posts added. The Beauty Forum was different in that it had many more posts and that is where I started my interest.

I refuse to go on Facebook unless I have to so appreciate a synopsis if what goes on there that is interesting or news. I often hear about something before it hits the news like a death of a well known person. I never did the alternate site that began when suspected this forum would shut down. I suspect Facebook is where many posters who left went to.

I check the opinions almost of the TSV. Each time I receive a forum survey which still happens from time to time I state that there are so many good suggestions here over and over that are ignored? I usually check every morning.

Sometimes I feel sorry for the Mods who have to shut down obvious infractions of policies and other times I don't see a problem and wonder why was it closed? I wish the whole thread wouldn't go at times, just the posts that need to go. I was not involved before the.Mods.

I have enjoyed reading about the forums of yesteryear!; good and not so good stories.😊 As curious as I am, I am not certain I would have wanted to participate then, as I have read about how contentious things could and WOULD get!😐 I believe the moderators have a sometimes difficult task of discerning who or which posts should be removed!😁 I have the UTMOST respect for what they do, because I simply do not have the wherewithal!😄

@Gorgf Welcome!🥰 Woo hoo to you for lasting SO long!😁 That tells me how much you enjoy the Forums!😊 I do NOT blame you for avoiding Facebook!!!👍 I absolutely refuse to use that platform as I have read and heard HORROR stories about it, but am well aware of the GOOD represented there as well!❤

I just shared in a previous thread much of what you say in reference to moderation. I sincerely respect the process!😁 If they could write a book of the daily happenings as they govern here, I would be the first in line to purchase it, and am CERTAIN it would be a most FASCINATING read!😄
