I left the forum for several years because it seemed to have been overrun by bullies and mean girls. Seems like it's calmed down a lot from that period.

Lots of nice ladies here. Offer some good advice and have interesting things to say. Especially about shopping which we all love. That's why I check in occasionally. I like the fact that some of the forum names are ones I've seen for years.

The internet grew up, I suppose, now with rules and algorithms set in place.
It's like our relationship with cars:
No more riding on the tailgate of a station wagon, or bumping along in the back of a truck. We're now held in place by seatbelts and protected by headrests and airbags.

In the long run it's probably better for us, but we do miss those older days.

I am blessed with a big family and several close friends, but we don't live next door to each other and so as as

2022. Just an occassional contributor. Read the forums for many years. I miss hockeynut john's post. I did not always agree with him but always enjoyed reading his thoughts. What an interesting life he and mrshckynut shared.

@Tinkrbl44 The year it says you joined may not be accurate. I joined well before 2010, then QVC did some revamping of the Forum and a lot of people who had been posting, reading or participating in some format, got the 2010 updated year. Some people were so furious because it also wiped out the number of posts you had prior to the redo.

It's nice to read so many posts from a lot of helpful kind people. I've learned a lot from many on a number of topics. I think people need to extract what works for them and lose the rest. If I'm not interested in a post, or, if I'm reading a post and it takes a turn downhill, I move on. Stay happy, enjoy this Forum and the incredible amount of sharing that occurs. Move on from things that don't work for you.

Been here since 1988 after getting my first computer. I do miss the days when we could do live chats with all of the posters. I usually ended my days there. We were able to post our phone numbers etc. in that chat and we did. So many posters who came to be friends in real life. I was gone for a few years but finally returned. Since HSN basically shut down their chat, this is my only online group i participate in. No one posts there anymore and it was a much rougher crowd over there, lol.
