@DowntonAbbey,There are a lot of youtube videos on how to do chalk painting.  I've done that and a lot of other types of painting.  I also taught it in my Interior Design classes.  It isn't hard at all!

i give my craft supplies to the domestic violence center.  It's nice for the women and children to have crafts to do to destress.  Of course they won't tell you the address but they have a public office you could drop them off at.

So excited about all the posts and suggestions and the donation ideas.  it is great to see people giving and caring for others, it just warms my heart and yes I will check out online about chalk painting.

I donated all my craft items I couldn't do any longer to a place that helps down and out people. I can't think of the name of this type of facility.

I embroidered many items, but when my eyesight began to fail working on small lines. I just packed things up and called a facility that always asks for money donations they send me all the time. A lady who worked at this place lived in my town she came and picked up  a huge box of supplies. She said the kids need enjoyment especially at this down time of thier lives, this gives the kids a break from their problems their family is going thru.
