I would take the cash settlement and set up trust funds for my two girls and my niece and nephew. Money that they wouldn't have access to until they were 40. I believe in education, so I would set up sometime of scholarship program with a big part of the money. And then, I'd buy my dream house in HawaiiwhereI would winter and a brand spankin new penthouse condo in the city.

I'd donate a hefty sum to Mother Angelica and her organization; donate to SPCA: pay off our house; pay off DD & DSIL's house; get us all into new houses; pay for my granddaughter's education through graduate school; purchase a new car for us that is comfortable for my back; purchase DD & DSIL a new van (they love vans); travel, travel travel; donate to have the street repaired on which our new house is situated, as our city has no bucks for any neighborhood street repairs; have the best eval my back and neck; purchase DH a sports car; ditch all of our furniture and purchase what I really want; purchase a larger sewing machine and serger.
This all sounds so material - I admit it - but we haven't had a vacation in 19 years and have been unable to donate or provide for our daughter, granddaughter and SIL. Being able to do this would wash away many years of angst regarding my husband's spiraling employment woes and our losses.
Someone will win this at some point, regardless of the odds. Good luck to all.

I would use money to close all the Greyhound Racing tracks and rehouse all the greyhounds - then donate to as many animal charities as possible. Trust funds for all the grand kids - any left go home to London flying first class with DH and get drunk.

My husband and I were talking about it earlier. The first thing would be split the money evenly. That way he and I could spend what we wanted on who we wanted etc. and not answer to the other. The best part would be helping others.
My husband said he would pay someone to do all the moving. I asked him if he had millions would he want to move this furniture we have? When you have never has a lot of money it is hard to even think in those terms. Money mainly buys you freedom. Freedom to do what you want.

I'd make a good, clean, chef a millionaire.
I love to cook for DH and family, friends. But I don't eat what I cook for them as I'm a vegetarian.
So, I would look for a chef who would cook for me healthy meals. BUT, they would have to run a clean kitchen, be extra cautious with keeping hands washed and food clean because I am very picky and go to great lengths to make sure that the food that goes in to my refridgerator, freezer, cabinets, counters and ultimately in my mouth has been and is cleaned.
There's probably only .001% of the population that would even follow me on that.
But if he or she, (okay preferably a hot 'he') could do that I would make them a millionaire, too!

Pay off all debt for me and all family/close friends, travel the US and world, donation to the American Cancer Society, buy a very expensive SUV. Quit job is in there too, but I wouldn't do it immediately. Wouldn't move, but would upgrade a few things in the house.
