What would you do? UPDATE FOR EVERYONE

[ Edited ]

I have returned my fair share of items over the years to QVC, but only because I did not like the fit, or, in the rare case of Philosphy, a scent that I could not tolerate.

I've never returned a product that I had used and basically destroyed in the process.

Recently, I ordered my favorite IT Celebration Foundation.  Now this foundation is not cheap, but I'm old and I like it and I wear very little make up so it lasts me a long time.

I received my order today.  The make up looks dried up in the compact, and it looks like a child has been playing in it.  There was no brush in the tube that was supposed to have the brush.

My question is this.  I have to return this because I can't afford to just throw away $45, but will QVC think that I did this to the product and just kept the brush?  I can't help but think of the women who will return Dooney and Bourke purses without the straps.

I don't want QVC to think that I am trying to cheat them.

UPDATE FOR EVERYONE;  I RECEIVED MY NEW MAKE UP AND BRUSH TODAY.  ALICE-QVC CAME THROUGH FOR ME.  RESTORES MY FAITH IN QVC.Heart

Call customer service & explain it to them. If it's the truth, don't worry about it. QVC should know your purchasing & exchange history & not doubt it. Best to you.

Thank you @roster .  Of course it's the truth.  If it wasn't, I would not be concerned.

@Georgiagrama.  Don't give it a second thought. 1. Who cares what QVC thinks; they have to take what you day at face value.  2. They don't think and ponder over your returns.  They're going so fast processing them, they don't have time to think.

You obviously got a return that should have been destroyed.  Send it back.   I wouldn't bother to call.

Retired 08, don't wait to do this. I am on auto delivery for Supersmile. When I receive my order I didn't open it for 9 mos. Assumed it was what I ordered & no problems.

Well, the toothpaste was missing. When I called customer service, they said "too bad, it's past 30 days". I asked if I could buy the toothpaste separate. Sure, it will cost you $45.00!!!! The whole kit, which includes: toothpaste accelator, brushes, mouthwash was $45.00. FORGET QVC!!! Bottom line, always check inside your order and report problems immediately.

Many items that are shipped are obvious used returns that somehow make it through quality control.Such is the case with your expensive makeup. Do not feel bad about returning it, because that is the reason for the 30 day return window. I believe QVC will pay shipping, because you can return it as defective for not being able to use it,  but don't quote me on that one. A call to the friendly customer service department should be able to better assist you. Hope things work out favorably for you. Again, RETURN it. No one wants to waste money.

My apologies for my previous post, because it repeats some of what is already posted. I was distracted while composing it, and did not see the other posts before sending.

@Georgiagrama , don't give it a thought.  QVC does not think anything of you, one way or another.  You're just another customer among millions.  One such return won't matter.

@Georgiagrama

By all means, return it, QVC won't give you any problem refunding it and your S&H both ways.

I'm sure they may keep tabs on customers who claim this on routine basis via a computer program, but that's not you.

I would call CS, so they can note this issue on your return and I'm sure you won't have any problem.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
