This was the situation I was in at work last night.

A customer( well known for being difficult over the years...) comes into the store 10 minutes before we close. She says she needs to call her credit card company because she left her credit cards at home and wants them to approve her using the card to purchase products without having the card. WE then have to look up the number for customer service for her and let her use OUR only phone.... I mention to her that we are closing.... She is screaming at the CS person with Capitol One Bank on the phone because they tell her NO. THEY put her on hold...( I am sure they hung up on her...) and now it is time to close and the last customer has left the building.... She is sitting on our stool at the counter ON HOLD and it is now after closing... I tell her she will need to come back and purchase the products tomorrow as we are going home now. She yells at me how rude I am and that she came such a long way to leave without what she wants to buy. I tell her TOO BAD. Sorry- we are leaving now. She yells at me the whole way out the door.... into her car....

I know she will be back today and give me more grief... I was so upset last night I felt my adrenaline rushing and still do this morning. I just hope my boss believes ME and not her story. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest as I feel SO DARNED upset about her making ME feel bad. I do not get paid enough to deal with this.
