What was your polar vortex damage?

Our septic system is frozen solid. What a nightmare.

Oh noooo! That's just terrible. Good luck, hope you get it resolved soon w/o costing too much...): We had pipes freeze last year in our cabin up north because the gas company confused our account with someone else's who didn't pay their bill, so they let our tank go empty and everything froze. They payed for all the damage ... thankfully.

That is awful, Kaybee. How on earth do you deal with that?

We have had a lot of water main breaks and terrible potholes in the last week.

That does sound awful, kaybee. The polar vortex must be scared of me. It's been mild here so far.

We actually have 2 septic systems so we do have a working bathroom but it's an old leach system and it freezes up too so we have to spread out our showers and flushes.

The system that is frozen now handles the kitchen, laundry/boys bathroom.

Boy! I do feel for you. I think it is just as bad or worse that not having water due to frozen pipes. When something like water or septic or electric goes down, you learn how to live without it very quickly. It's amazing how fast you come up with a new routine. Hope it resolves soon, and you have no lasting damage.

Just some outside damage from the high winds. Nothing serious though.
