i went to a small Catholic elementary school.........95% of the student body was Hispanic........our lunch was made fresh every day by the school cook, Ms. Doris. I don't even remember what day we got them, but it was a cheese enchilada, Spanish rice with mole sauce, salad, and a really small flan with caramel sauce.........you could keep everything else, but I would fight ya for the rice with mole............ I LOVED the rice with mole sauce..........................................raven

High school only served cold sandwiches. They made the best tuna subs.

Something called school boy sandwiches, also known as sloppy joes. For dessert they used to have a really good lemon or strawberry chiffon square. In summer school they offered cold sandwiches. I always had a chicken salad sandwich and a cake donut.

Pizza burgers and spaghetti. I still love spaghetti and could live on it if I had to.

Ahhh the memories of Hamburger Brown Gravy, over mashed potatoes! Chili and cinnamon rolls, and Hot Turkey Sandwiches, all make me smile !

Back in the 50's we could walk home from school for lunch. I always loved it when Mom had chicken noodle soup and bologna sandwiches.
