For 2017, what is the most favorite gift you received? I would have to say gift cards. You buy what you need and want. How about you?

My parents have been gone for many years but when they were alive, I would ask for a gift card in lieu of gifts at Christmas. My parents lived in a small town, not many choices and I could use the gift cards at the after Christmas sales and double my money.

My mom always felt guilty but when she saw how far the gift card money stretched, she was content.

This year a collage of my Grandaughter's Senior photos printed on Canvas. Love it.

Second my husband made me a batch of Almond Rocca type toffee candy by himself. Realy good too.

My DH surprised me with an Amazon Alexa Show just two days ago. Wow. It has already changed my life for the better. I love it. I no longer turn on the TV to get news so that allows me to waste less time and make the most of my day when I'm at home working. I set the time while cooking without having to look for my iPhone and I set reminders as I think of them.

He said I needed an assistant and he was right.

I received some great gifts, including two purses from my sister.

One of my favorites were these slipper socks from my best friend. The are lined and so cute and very warm. They make my feet look huge here, but I have heavy socks on under them.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@Katcat1 This is going to sound silly. Usually my poor sister doesn't know what to get me, but she always gives it a good try. Usually the result is something I'll never use.

This year, she had visited me a couple months earlier and noticed I had my shoes all piled up in a corner near the back door (I may be related to Imelda Marcos). So, she bought me a shoe rack. I put it together last week during a snowy day, and voila! It fit very nicely in that same corner and I now have all my ankle boots arranged neatly in 3 tiers!
