WE don't. When there was a community meal for the poor, we worked at it. Now it doesn't happen. We really miss it

We go out to eat, and it is fine by me. We can't stand turkey in the first place. We can order what we want

I am so glad those big family dinners are a thing of the past. When my parents past away we stopped doing it

We are doing the restaurant meal this year. I will make homemade pumpkin pie for dessert at home. The day before I will make a turkey breast, so we can have sandwiches.

I usually host a Thanksgiving Brunch, so my family arrives around 12:00 noonish.

I'll already be there at my brother's to help his wife prepare the meal and desserts.

The family will gather there before an early dinner at 4:00. Then we visit, take photos and exchange Christmas gifts to go under our trees. Dessert table will be set up around 6:00. Most will have to leave following dessert for the drive home. I will stay on through the weekend. Relaxing and enjoying the leftovers. 😋

About 2 pm....eat about 3:30 pm. dessert around 5-5:30pm.

We get together at 2pm, but usually don't eat until about 3 or 330pm......

Since hubs and I are the only ones at our house and for the day, we gather when we get up. Spend the day cooking in our pajamas and then he watches football while I watch something else. It's very quiet and also very nice.

My DH would like to eat at 12:00, but by the time we get all set up it's closer to 1:00. It'll be a small gathering this year...the two of us, DH's sister & her husband, brother & his SO, maybe 2-3 others. We always have a good time--everyone brings food, and helps clean up after. The only thing I'll have left to do is wash the tablecloth & put the table pads away!

In all seriousness, we will go to DH's side of the family about 2. We generally stay there until about 5ish and then head to my cousin's for a second round of leftovers and dessert.
