@Anonymous032819   Are you in your area's NextDoor dot com?  I very rarely post anything but do find some of the posts interesting,  

A few times someone would post asking why so many police cars were in a certain place or ask why a helicopter kept circling around.  Someone always knows the answer and responds.  It might be worth joining.  Many times it's about lost and found dogs and cats.

I would be glad it was not me they were coming after.  I was in the way once and I had to move over and was going to be in way of others.  It is awful and they made me move.

Crimes are committed every day.. I just read this story. 

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX) — The mother of a 27-year old woman killed in a double pedestrian fatal crash told KPIX she wants justice for her daughter, one of two women killed in a hit-and-run in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood New Year’s Eve.

“The whole family has a heart that is torn by sadness,” said Hiroko Abe, the mother of Hanako (Hana) Abe who communicated through Twitter. “You couldn’t find such a beloved daughter all over the world. She was our pride.”

Hanako Abe was relatively new to San Francisco. Her mother says Hana attended college in the U.S. before moving to San Francisco last year to work for a company there. Thursday night, Hana and a woman she did not know were both killed after being struck by a stolen car driven while walking in the crosswalk on Second Street at Mission Street.

Friday, police identified the driver who they said initially tried to run away from the scene but was quickly arrested. 45-year old Troy McAllister was on parole for robbery. Police say they found a handgun with an extended magazine inside the car, along with drugs believed to be methamphetamines.

It turns out McAllister had been arrested twice recently — in November and December — after committing crimes in San Francisco, according to Rachel Marshall, an assistant San Francisco district attorney and spokesperson for D.A. Chesa Boudin’s office. Marshall said in an e-mail that McAllister was referred to his state parole officer after each one of those crimes, which is standard procedure.

But each time, the DA said the state parole officer inexplicably decided not to place McAllister back behind bars for a parole violation. So he was let back out on the street.....

They don't take chances...3 police cars came in barreling into our neighborhood. There was a young couple renting a condo in my neighborhood they had a quarrel over a cell phone and took their argument outside. Someone had called the police The police made the woman give the guy his cellphone and he left...And a neighbor told me the couple was evicted too...apparently not their first quarrel
..But it took 3 police cars domestic disturbances can turn dangerous I'm glad they no longer live in the area She would always walk her dog without a leash and didn't pick up after him either. The dog was aggressive to me and others too. I was going to contact the COsa about that...but didn't have to after all..inconsiderate people

I did not interpret her post as griping. I think that she was just venting a bit, and was curious about what was going on. Which most people would be.

Like you I am a pet person, so I never blame the animals, I blame their silly owners. Years, ago I had a neighbor a few doors down who would always let their dog out to run and the dog would always find its way to my front lawn and ******. Probably because I had a dog.  I took it a few times, because once again it's not the animal it's the owners. One day they caught me in not  a generous spirit. When the dog finished crapping in my yard. I went into my garage and took my shovel, scooped up the pile of ****** in my front yard, walk three doors down where they were outside and dumped the ****** in their yard. I turned away and walked back home, and miraculously I never had a problem again.

No, I still don't know what all of the hullabaloo was about, and I probably never will.

Oh, well.

And I haven't been to any casinos in over a year.

I am trying to avoid as many  places where people gather as I possibly can.

I will go back ..... someday.
