What's your favorite writing utensil?

I like Paper Mate.  I'm on the hunt for gold ink pens.  Not the outer but the ink color.  So I'm checking Amazon.

I also use different pens when/if I do Calligraphy.  May get back into that at some point.  Also thinking I need to be reading more.  I'll be so glad when our library gets back to normal.  I know there's thrift shops I can visit.

Getting a bit antsy I guess, with the better weather now and leaves back on the trees.

Do you have a favorite pen(s) you like to write with?

I used to work in accounting.....so my favorite is a #2 pencil.    If I use ink for an official signature......it's BLUE only.

My "favorite" will always be a fountain pen, but for basic around-the-house signing, I love fine point retractable pens with ballpoint ink.

In the "pre-computer age", when I was in college, I was required to HANDPRINT. a 4 page orchestral score with 12-16 instruments, IN PERMANENT BLACK INK, using A DIP PEN, which meant absolute perfection, no mistakes, get to the 4th page, put a line or dot in the wrong place, trash what you've done and start all over again from the very beginning.

I cheated, and used a Pelikan fountain pen.

It STILL took me ALL of Memorial Day Weekend of 1966, EVERY SINGLE MINUTE, to finish it, but I got an A-.

Talk about "The Simple Life"!

@Desertdi  a #2 pencil is my favorite too!

I prefer black ink for something that needs to be signed.

I always use medium print black ink and I prefer pens that have a grip near the tip.

A freshly-sharpened #2 pencil with a clean eraser.  I'm a word puzzle nut.
