Re: What's your favorite "holiday" scent?

Just received my Christmastime Scentsy bars and I seem to favor these so far:

Eucalyptus Wreath

Cinnamon Pinecones

Very Snowy Spruce

I used to love the original Claire Burke Christmas scent. They now have Christmas Memories but something seems to be missing from what I remember.

I'm thinking my favorite is a mix of cinnamon, cloves, orange, and pine. The plain pine scents always seem to be a bit off to me but I do like to cut pine boughs and place them around the house with a pot of cinnamon, cloves, and oranges simmering on the stove.

I can handle very few scents, so I will go with peppermint.

Pine and Cinammon are too overpowering for me.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I bring out the "Fir" scented jar candles.   Not to be confused with "pine" which is a harsher aroma.    Sometimes, just leaving the lid off the jar without lighting the candle, is a nice, discrete scent.

In Autumn, I like cinnamon, apple, pumpkin pie scents.  After Thanksgiving, I Christmasy scents.  Peppermint, pine, rum, gingerbread.

I like the spice scents, but with not too much cinnamon.  Yankee Candle used to have a very nice orange/clove scent.  I loved it, but it is of course discontinued.  😤

I do not burn candles but melt the wax squares in a ceramic, electric melter.  I have found very nice scents at Walmart.  The Better Homes and Garden brand.

@Carolina925,

I remember Claire Burke's Christmas scent. Our mall (when there was a mall)Woman Sad used to have a store of Claire Burke. That scent was just like everything Christmas.

My favorite scent is anything that is like a Christmas tree, a pine forest.

Also a few years ago Homeworks had a Christmas sampler and there was one that smelled like winter snow.

Bed Bath and Beyond used to have one like that too. Snow angels or something-really lovely, crisp white cold air snow.

And though not like pine at all, my favorite candle is Woodworks redwood that smells like a campfire or the smell of someone's fire in the hearth.I never get tired of it and could have it all year long.
