Re: What's wrong with your own beautiful, natural skin tone?

I don't believe it when women say they only wear makeup/faux tan, etc. for themselves.

Seriously? If no one ever saw you you'd still wear it?

I often wonder if some women wear MU even when they are doing things like cleaning the basement, gardening , or painting the house all by themselves.

I can only speak for myself, but absolutely, I would still wear it and I have, even when there were days that I had no human contact. To each his own.

I do. My morning routine when I'm not working is to get up, have breakfast, shower, do my hair and makeup. That's even before I decide what I'm doing for the day. I'm a fairly spontaneous person, so that way I'm ready for whatever comes my way.

Yes, I do, everyday, unless I am sick. Just the way I am.

Re: What's wrong with your own beautiful, natural skin tone?

A lot of women who don't understand why others would wear makeup every day, are usually women who have darker features with regards to eyebrows and eyelashes. My mother never wore anything but lipstick, but she had dark brown eyelashes and eyebrows, so she didn't need makeup to define her features. She also had a medium skin tone that tanned nicely, whereas mine is pale.

I, unfortunately, got my father's fair, English complexion and features and if I don't at least wear mascara, my eyes totally disappear, LOL. I remember walking down the hallway of my dorm in college without any makeup and one of the other dorm residents didn't know who I was, even though I spoke with her frequently. I don't wear a ton of makeup, but a bit of mascara, eyeliner and a touch of shadow brings out my features nicely, so I feel more like myself when I wear them.

Re: What's wrong with your own beautiful, natural skin tone?

There is nothing at all wrong with one's own color. It's all beautiful from the palest to the very deepest. There is nothing wrong with enhancing it either if one is so inclined.

If someone wants to be pale, be pale. If someone wants a little color, get some color.

Makeup? Either wear it or don't. To each their own.

I'm blond, blue-eyed, fair. If I know I'm not going to see anyone on a particular day I just don't care about putting on makeup.

But if it makes you feel better to do so, I'm not going to stop you.

Re: What's wrong with your own beautiful, natural skin tone?

I had comments about this in college too, about looking different without makeup. I even used to get 2 hours early so a boyfriend couldn't see me without my full face and "eyes" on (my lases disappear without mascara). It took me a while to feel OK in public without my "face" applied. I use an eye pencil and lip color, sometimes the whole 9, sometimes nothing.

RE the faux tans, I have some Tan Towels I use sometimes.
