Re: What's the protocal?

[ Edited ]

Welcome to the Community, @Huge Hannah!    There's excellent advice in the replies, and such warm and positive comments.    I would agree with and emphasize reading the Standards for Participation and the Community Guidelines -- now,  and also later since some of them might not make sense until you've become more accustomed to the site.

I'll post 2 links to take you directly to the policies:

I think that looking at all of the sub-categories listed on the left side of the screen is a great idea...  take a look at different categories now and then.    Sometimes we miss some wonderfully interesting, insightful and helpful posters if we limit ourselves to only a few of the sub-forums.

I hope you'll find this a pleasant place to spend your time, and I look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome Huge Hannah...You will get the hang of things little by little.  It's late so I haven't read any of the posts so forgive me if I repeat what others have written.  One thing you will need here is a thick skin which I didn't have back in 2007 when I first enrolled.  Some folks can be nasty, mean and down right rude and you will learn with time how to disregard them.  Don't take them seriously because if you do they can ruin a whole day for you.  On the other hand, we do have some of the smartest, nicest, most helpful people you ever want to meet.  I am looking forward to getting to know you and hope you enjoy getting to know all of us.

Well, it has been more than 24 hours since the OP started this thread, and we haven't heard one word from her.  Maybe we scared her off.....LOL   Wonder what she's waiting for?????

I'm guessing she doeesn't realize yet that it's a good thing to check back in on a conversation she started.
