hi @RescueLover 🤗. Same for us , in upstate. our local news said it's very unhealthy for anyone with breathing issues or sensitive. I just got over pneumonia so didn't want to go out in it today as I could see the haze hanging over the sky . Our air purifier was going crazy 🤪 ha!

i don't understand why this keeps happening, The first time a couple years ago and I felt that was just a fluke , now again. Why can't Canada handle this , there are ways to do so . Control burn for one .

I just bought 3 new air purifiers to put near the doors and it has helped so much! We have one in the bedroom too but this has given the whole house a real boost.

I think they help rid the air of outside dirt and pollen that comes in with golfers and gardeners.

Depending on what air quality map I look at, one says it's poor and another says it's moderate. We personally aren't having any issues when outdoors. It's a beautiful day today.

When we had it the last time I had just started PT and my therapist wanted me to exercise outside not knowing about the warnings though.

I’m thankful my phones weather app tells me what the conditions are each day. Keeps me in the know.

Otherwise I would think it was a nice day, since it’s impossible to detect the particles in the air. 😳

@Kitty Galore @RescueLover Thay is totally unacceptable. seems like the fire has been going on forever! I live in California , so no stranger to breathing smoke. However, I have never experienced the smoke for that extended of a time. One time we had the UVAs fires, Madonna, Santa Cruz, and coyote fires going all at once. Surrounded. The cars, my grass, trees, plants were white with ash. Can't imagine lungs. But it lasted a week or two. It took forever to wash off our home, garden, the flowers get suffocated after a while. But at least we had a home, and didn't suffer like the wildlife and humans in the fire. We all had headaches, sinus issues

Upstate NY and yesterday 6/8 was awful. There was so much haze and it looked yellow. Between that and the yellow stuff flying around along with the cottonwood stuff it was hard to breathe. I have a pulmonary test on Friday and I bet it will not be good.

I don't know where this person lives but on our Google Nest hubs, Google is now including the AQI. I've never seen ours out of the green, but we live in the country. I don't know how many color ranges there are but in looking for this image I saw green yellow and red. Look for the little yellow rectangle at the bottom. I just asked Google and she said that the air quality index was 14

I know a lot of you use Alexa. Alexa might be able to tell you what the air quality index is just by asking. My Google displays have it on the screen during the day but I just asked since it's not currently on the display. It's 14
