I do think you see a bit of Eternity when you look into a child's eyes. So full of wonder!

I don't expect to lose any of my memories. And if I make to my 90's and memories do start to slip away, it will be okay. I won't remember that I lost them.

Many first times of my life and seeing my grandson in the first moments of his life with his daddy. Melt.

I still have vivid snatches of memory of my father (who died when I was 16) He was very tall and thin (he was at least 6'4") I remember holding on to his leg, under his coat walking on winter evenings. All 4 of us would huddle under his coat. That's one memory I will never let go.

Re: What's one memory you hope you will always keep?

I remember being on my dad's shoulders and putting my hands on his jaw to hold on and how stubbly his face felt. I remember how patient my mom always was and how I could tell her anything and she'd listen.

Dad's now 86 and fighting to keep his mind. Mom already has some dementia and it's painful to see this.

Re: What's one memory you hope you will always keep?

I do remember as a girl of around 7 or 8 when my Dad would come home from work on a cold Winters day, he would be wear his blue camels hair coat and a hat, yes it was the 60's and men wore hats.

I can remember the 4 days in November of 1963 even though I was only 8, til this day I can recall most of the events that took place

I also remember the 1st NYC black out in November 65, my Dad was working in lower Manhattan and some how was able to take a car home from the office and made it home after dropping a few co workers off.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

A lot of your posts have to do with the past. What's the diff?
