What's everyone up to today?

I've been kind of "low energy" the past few days, so today is a stay at home, slug day for me.  I need some rest.

We just put a Hormel pork roast in the oven for lunch and I'm going to sit on the floor of our office and wrap my sister's birthday gift and wrap some Christmas gifts.

Not planning to leave the house for any reason.  Today is a day of rest and fun.

Looking forward to watching Poldark and Madame Secretary tonight.

I'm not planning on leaving the house either.  I need to do a little housekeeping this morning and get organized for the work week.  Then watching football this afternoon.

Re: What's everyone up to today?

Like you I'm not doing much of anything today either.  DH will get home today around 4P from spending a weekend just outside of Milwaukee for the OSU vs Wisc football game.  I didn't go because somebody needed to be here to care for Wallace our poodle.  DH is ALWAYS in for this roadtrip with absolutely no regard of the dog nor the fact that he knows I won't go because of Wal.  We/I don't have anybody to watch him or let him outside while we would be gone, nor do I board him because I know this dog inside and out and can't imagine boarding for 3 days would go well at all.

So it's really a nice day here right now though the weather guys are calling for some rain late day. I did my laundry yesterday so good to go there.  DId not do DH's, not going to either.  He's forbidden to do mine and his is usually so dirty from his work that I won't do his either.  Knowing all that he did on his 3-day vaca, he'll be a huge slug eating aspirin for the rest of the day - whatever DH. Hope you had a good time and oh by the way, did you remember calling me last night just before the game started?  I'm betting no.

Just finished my morning cup of coffee and yogurt. Lunch will be chicken pot pie and I will be watching some football. It will be a lazy day.

My day started at 7:30 am thinking I was going to church but I had a dead car battery.  Called AAA and everything is good now.  I think I better spend the rest of the day at home!!

Re: What's everyone up to today?

We all seem to be on the same vibe ... heavy rain and thunder woke me, so I got up and sat in my comfy chair by the window and just ... sat and watched it rain.    Nothing wakes DH this early on the weekend.   Saw that he had taken out the fixings for chilli ... his specialty; and a strawberry-rhubarb pie from a new local bakery.   Couldn't wait ...  ate a slice.  Now I'll make coffee.

Weather permitting, later today we'll watch the Bears and  the Cubs (his team).

I have to take my kid to work, I'm going to make chili and spend some one on one time with my husband.

@gidgetgh  Funny that you of all posters should ask!   I'm going to Talbot's!  I have a $15 "check" (coupon) they sent me to use by Wednesday, and I think their sales are better over the weekend then during the week, so I want to go today to see what's on sale on which to apply my coupon for even more savings!     I'm also meeting a friend at Starbucks for coffee.   That's more than usual that I have going on!

@SoX- I'm in Atlanta and we haven't had rain in weeks and weeks and weeks.  A few light scattered drizzly things around early this morning, not by our house but they're gone now and it's sunny out.  We're still in the mid 80's here and in a drought.  I usually am not a fan of rainy days (especially if it's cold out), but boy do we need rain.
