Re: What's Yr Fave Christmas Movie/s?

The Lion in Winter (1968) with Peter O'Toole and Katharine Hepburn, of course, and several versions of A Christmas Carol.

Just a really good story. Heart

I like Christmas in Conn.  But we both laugh at the Christmas story one.  Leg lamp in the window.  It's just so funny to us.  He like Christmas vacation. If it's about Christmas, we'll both enjoy most of them I think.  I watch Home Alone anytime it's on.  Miracle on 34th St. sort of kicks in the holiday to me.  Thanksgiving and Christmas and it's kind of how I feel this time of year.

@JoyFilled Warrior , In my paper, it says that Hallmark will be airing a second "Five More Minutes" movie titled "Moments Like These",inspired by the Scotty McCreery song of that title. It stars Ashley Williams and Lucas Bryant. It's to air on Dec. 17th at 10 p.m. ET.

I checked my Cable.  "Polar Express" is on several times before Dec 6th

I HAVE to see that one, since several of you mentioned it!

I now have it on "Record"

@JoyFilled Warrior  I don't know why, but I did not truly appreciate this movie until I saw it the 2nd time...then I was hooked! So I suggest watching it twice...and I still get something new out of it every time!

"Holiday Inn" (while not JUST about Christmas) is a favorite. I also like Christmas in Connecticut, White Christmas, The Holiday, A Holiday Affair (with Robert Mitchum), Miracle on 34th St (any version), Elf, all three The Santa Clause movies, Christmas Vacation and the Hallmark Movie "Crown for Christmas".

Anyone mention "Say One for Me". Bing Crosby is a priest. RJ dances-very well.

I thought I put my 2 cents in re:Christmas Faves. Mine is "A Christmas Visitor". A little sad,but not so sad.

Hubbs fav is The Nativity (3 films). It is a British series and so funny. Actually,i like that one also. But "A Christmas Visitor" pulls at my heart strings.

Thank you so much, @JoyFilled Warrior ,  and @RNbynite ,  for kind words.

I have a revolving list of favorite Christmas movies, @JoyFilled Warrior .   Let's see--   "Remember the Night" with Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray and Beulah Bondi,  and "Christmas in Connecticut",  also with Stanwyck, and another astonishingly good cast.

For a more direct spiritual message of the season, I love "The Bishop's Wife",  and of course, a film like "King of Kings" to reflect on the life of whom we celebrate at Christmas.

Glad you mentioned "A Christmas Memory",  @RNbynite -- that is one of mine too.  So sensitive and beautiful, and a wonderful story by Capote to read as well.  There must be more than one version, but I love Geraldine Page playing "Sook" in what was the Sixties' version, I believe.

@Oznell yep, love REMEMBER THE NIGHT  little known Christmas classic....Fred McMurray and Barbara Stanwyck perfect cast

@JoyFilled Warrior

I do not have one, however! My wife is gone Pet Sitting, think it was a total of 1 week. Guessing she will be home Sunday or Monday.

I just counted the number of Christmas Shows she has on our DVR! These all say 2 hours/4 minutes, and they are all on the Hallmark Network.

Drum beat ta da●●●●● TOTAL=19

How many I plan to watch? Zero. Just not my thing.
