My favorite eating place is a local Italian restaurant that I wont name due to privacy issues. But they have the best sandwiches with home made rolls and their pasta dishes are out of this world! The sauce is JUST LIKE my Italian grandmothers was. Also their salad is the best salad ever! We go there at least every other week! In fact we really don't do chain restaurants. We mostly eat out local and support local businesses.

Home. I know what goes into my meals. No extra salt, or adulterated ingredients. I also keep a clean kitchen so there's no bugs or any varments. I am healthy and not spreading around ecoli, hepatitis, etc. I can have seconds if I desire too.

I thought this was going to be about inside the home. To which I would have replied the corner of the couch. Assuming I can get there for all the dogs thinking it's THEIR spot. ;-)

hmmm, it depends where I am and what I feel like eating.
Spanish - (Iberian peninsula) Don Pepe
Japanese - East Providence, R.I.
Chinese - Montreal, Quebec

I am sort of stunned at the number of posters who seem ""afraid"" to eat out...

That thought struck me as well.
Trying new restaurants and dining out with friends is a big part of my social life.
For those of you who don't ever eat outside your own home; what do you do for entertainment when you go out with friends?

I assure you not every restaurant serves their food from unsanitary kitchens and has chefs and wait staffs who aren't meticulous about how the food is handled.
Does that mean you don't ever go out to eat for a special occasion? You have to cook everything you eat?

route 7, we have a Perkins near too, and we go because they give you a pot of coffee, and they keep it filled.
The waitresses are great, and yes, their food is always good. Another thing, it is clean and decorated nicely, much better than IHOP.

We like to dine out at privately owned restaurants, not chains. Some places are dives and some are very nice. We love eating at restaurants with great views, such as Lake Michigan or any body of water.
