For fine dining and ambiance in the old Hawaiian style, it's Mama's Fish House in Kuau on Maui. It's really $$$$$pendy though and it is now a very rare treat.

We love Jason's deli for lunch (I love their salad bar) and PF Changs for Dinner (ginger chicken or shanghai shrimp). I also love Eddie Merlot's for ahi, but we don't go often as it's so expensive.

A few non-chain sushi restaurants. It's my favorite type of food to eat.

A local Italian place called Tutti Santi

My friend Albert's house--he is a wonderful cook!

Star Fish Company in Cortez, FL. Went there for lunch today. We got several different meals to share...fried shrimp, fried scallops, steamed stone crab, all freshly caught from the Gulf. Delicious! All of my usual places are small, local establishments.

A local cafe that serves lots of local, organic food. Lots of seafood. They will adjust your dish for dietary concerns.. It's like eating home made. My favorite is their polenta special...polenta, sausage, kale.

Also, several breakfast places. I love breakfast and eat it any time of day!

Miss a good Mexican restaurant. Best Mexican is in the SW, imo.
