On a related depressing note, the Gannett Corporation, after firing hundreds of journalists that cover local news, is hiring reporters specifically to cover Taylor Swift and Beyonce exclusively.  Its Idiocracy come to life.

@Bookplate - DD is a huge Taylor fan! She hasn't seen her in concert yet, but went to a "parking lot concert" at the venue where she was performing. DD paid $35 for parking. They heard the concert, but couldn't see anything. 

One of DD's college friends got a job as a security guard at the venue - just so she could see the concert! I don't know if she will keep the job.

 The latest is some are streaming the concerts online every Saturday night. 

I told DD she should apply for the job! The pay is up to $100,00. She just laughed and said it would be a dream job, but she wasn't qualified.  

This Taylor mania is getting ridiculous!

@spiderw   I totally agree.  As a retired teacher, I find these things so annoying. I cringe as well.  I often wonder if there is anyone proof reading....apparently not.  🤦🏻‍♀️

If I rewrote this headline, I think I'd have to use two sentences to do it. Is anyone here up for the challenge of rewriting this using only one sentence?
