@SeaMaiden Costco sells premade mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes now.  Are you talking about the turkey breast in a smallish plastic wrapping?

We just had salads with grilled chicken for lunch.  I made mine with blueberries, raspberries, bleu cheese crumbles, and a pear dressing.  Then our usual chia seed pudding for dessert.

Thanks, @SeaMaiden.  It was!  The last couple of days, I've been trying to use up the little bits of this and that in order to maximize refrigerator space.  My lunch helped. 😄

Originally we were going to one of my children's for dinner, but there was a change of plans.  Everyone is coming to my house.  It's all good.  The best thing of having a big turkey for us is the leftovers.  Although I like picking a piece off here and there from the half eaten bird, I end up making several meals out of it.

We make turkey sandwiches, turkey croquettes and then finally turkey soup.  Plus the kids get to fight over the wishbone.  🦃

Keeping it small, but have to cook enough for at least a day or two of leftovers.

Slightly OT .... years ago I read that the number one most eaten meal on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving was pizza, usually delivered.  This was reported by the National Pizza Association.

Makes sense .... although I didn't even know there was a National Pizza Association!

@Tinkrbl44 I host Christmas every year so I am busy Christmas Eve preparing.  It is a tradition in our family to have pizza on Christmas Eve.  Domino's is the only place open.

I ordered our Thanksgiving Meal and picked it up today. I've been doing holiday dinners for almost 50 years.  All I have to do is cook the turkey and heat up all the side dishes. I did bake my own pies though. 2 pumpkins and 1 apple.

It sure makes it a lot easier. I hope all is good. There will be 6 of us.

Happy Thanksgiving to All.

@gertrudecloset  I hope you feel better. Sinus infections can be awful.

It's just the BF and I.  We are doing an air fryer turkey breast, gravy, cranberry sauce, steamed broccoli/cauliflower and a jiffy cornbread casserole. Trying to make it somewhat diabetic friendly. But, unfortunately,  the last few days has sort of been a food-party.

Not to imply I'm playing fast and loose with tradition ... lol ....

but instead of the usual pumpkin pie, we're going with a Patti Labelle Sweet Potato Pie!   Yum!

Just to be different.

Yes, the holidays are my favorite and while we're just 4, I'm making a turkey, small ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, broccoli rice casserole, green bean casserole, Mac 'n cheese, candied yams and rolls. Drinking iced peach tea and for dessert, pumpkin pie and a banana trifle.

It's a lot of sides but all favorites and I just make smaller portions.

I made the pumpkin pie this morning.
